The chief of the Legal Support Group of the CIS Anti‑Terrorism Center attended the XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, which brought together more than 5,000 delegates from over 80 countries and ten international organizations, held from 24 to 26 June.

The Forum featured open discussions and an exchange of views on a wide range of issues, including protection of electoral sovereignty, countering cybercrime, and measures to prevent terrorism and extremism.

During the panel session “Security Umbrella of Eurasian Integration,” the Center’s representative participated in a special meeting of the Expert Advisory Council under the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council, where experts discussed legal measures for information and digital security and promising directions for developing model legislation of the CSTO.

At a separate roundtable, “Legal Science in the Architecture of Interparliamentary Dialogue: New Approaches to Drafting Model Acts,” which brought together representatives of CIS bodies and civil society institutions, the chief of the CIS ATC Legal Support Group emphasized the need to recognize model CSTO legal acts as a source of internationally acknowledged customary norms and called for coordinated efforts to strengthen the legal framework for counter‑terrorism and counter‑extremism.
