Standing council under the Head of the CIS ATC meets in Moscow

The standing council under the Head of the CIS ATC met in Moscow on April 10, 2026 and brought together representatives of the competent authorities of 9 CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan), CIS 4 agencies (SORB Executive Bureau, Council of Commanders of Border Troops, Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units and Coordinating Council of State Attorneys General) and 2 base organizations for counter-terrorism training of personnel and on terrorism and extremism research.

During the event, the participants discussed the most burning events in the foreign and home affairs of the Commonwealth countries impacting the state of security of the CIS states, exchanged their assessments of the situation in countering terrorism and extremism amid the increasing international and military-political tensions as well as the trends of its development, and also reviewed a wide range of other issues.

First Deputy Head of the CIS ATC Mr. Sabyrzhan Ungarbayev briefed on the results of the XV Regional Expert Consultations of representatives of the anti–terrorist units of the competent authorities of the CIS member-states which were held in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia.

Deputy Head of the CIS ATC Mr. Sergey Zubkov informed about the concept of organizing the XIX Meeting of the Heads of the head departments of the competent authorities of the CIS member-states responsible for combating terrorism and the heads of national structures of the CIS member-states responsible for coordinating activities in the CT/PE field scheduled to be held in Moscow in June this year.

Head of the Center’s Information and Analytical Section Mr. Igor Nevedrov briefed on the results of the first meeting of the Editorial board of the CIS ATC Bulletin.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of trust and meaningful dialogue.
