The CIS ATC’s delegation took part in the round table “A world without terrorism, extremism and separatism: the role of the SCO and Central Asian countries in the global security system”, organized by the Oy Ordo Center for Expert Initiatives in Bishkek on June 16, 2026.
The agenda included discussions on regional and global security, coordinating efforts to combat the spread of radical ideologies, and implementing joint measures to counter the activities of international terrorist organizations in the Central Asian region.
In his statement, the Center’s representative informed the audience about the current challenges and security threats posed by international terrorist organizations in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, focusing on the intensified recruitment efforts in Central Asian countries, growing radical sentiments in the terrorist groups, and the increasing interest in the production of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons.
