The CIS ATC delegation led by First Deputy Head of the Center Major General of National Security Sabyrzhan Ungarbaev took part in a working group meeting of the Council for the CIS member-states cooperation in education, held on April 9, 2026.
The event brought together eduction specialists and experts of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS base organizations for counter-terrorism training of personnel and on terrorism and extremism research.
The meeting reviewed draft professional development program on "Specificity of de-radicalization of persons fallen under the influence of the terrorist and extremist ideas", proposals received from the working group members and measures aimed at improving the draft Program.
The participants noted that developing this Program represents an important step toward creating a unified educational space across Commonwealth countries for countering terrorism and extremism, as well as an organizational foundation for training qualified specialists in de-radicalization.
