The CIS ATC representative participated in the seminar on "On the experience of detecting, preventing, and suppressing threats posed by international terrorist organizations operating Afghanistan," held at the headquarters of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure, held on July 2, 2026.

The event's agenda covered a wide range of collective and national security issues within the SCO region, including the coordination of efforts to combat the spread of radical ideologies.

During the seminar, participants assessed the threats posed by international terrorist organizations active in Afghanistan and noted the persistence of adverse security trends – specifically, the expanding recruitment efforts targeting the population by radical cells through the active use of modern communication technologies and artificial intelligence.

The CIS ATC representative outlined the Center’s key areas of work, including monitoring and analysis of information on terrorism and extremism threats across the CIS region, as well as the organization of efforts to counter the radicalization of the population within the framework of the relevant interstate cooperation program of the Commonwealth countries.
