Moscow hosted a summing up and award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the VI International Student Initiatives Competition in the field of countering the ideology of terrorism "Student Shield – 2026", organized by Moscow State Linguistic University and the Anti–Terrorism Center of the CIS member States, on June 5, 2026.

In his welcoming remarks First Deputy Head of the CIS ATC Mr. Sabyrzhan Ungarbayev noted that in modern conditions, when the terrorist threats continue to be among most serious problems for the Commonwealth, united efforts to fight on terrorist ideology remain of particular importance.

"Terrorists and their accomplices focus their attention on the young people, our main asset. That is why it is so important to develop alternative formats for countering destructive ideology, emanating from the student community itself," Mr. Ungarbayev stressed.

256 students and pupils of secondary educational institutions from 32 educational organizations of 5 countries took part in the competition. Participants from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan presented 160 works in the nominations "Best video clip", "Best literary work", "Best informational visual material", "Best preventive measure".
