The Center’s representatives and experts of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Teams of the UN Security Council Committees 1267/1989/2253 on ISIS, Al-Qaeda and 1988 held a meeting on May 14, 2026 at the CIS ATC’s headquarters in Moscow.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged assessments of the current threats posed by the activities of international terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, Syria and Africa.
Special attention was paid to the problem of strengthening the propaganda of terrorist ideology in the information space.
Special attention was given to the increasing spread of terrorist propaganda in the information space.
The meeting was held in preparation for the thirty-eighth report of the Monitoring team pursuant to resolution 2734 (2024) concerning the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Daesh), Al-Qaeda and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities.
