A working meeting between the CIS ATC delegation led by its Head Evgeny Sysoev and experts of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Committees led by its Coordinator Colin Smith was held on December 3, 2025 in Moscow on the sidelines of the BRICS+ Anti-Terrorism Conference  .

The meeting featured an interested exchange of views on the current challenges and threats in various regions of the world posed by the activities of international terrorist organizations. Representatives of the CIS ATC informed on terrorist and extremist threats relevant to the CIS region.

The meeting took place i light of preparation of the Team's reports to the UN Security Council pursuant to resolution 2763 (2024) and resolution 2734 (2024) on ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
