A meeting was held between Head of CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Mr. Evgeny Sysoev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation H.E. Dauren Abaev in Moscow, on August 27, 2026.
The Head of the Center congratulated the Kazakh delegation on the successful holding of the elections to the unicameral parliament - the Kurultai - on August 23 of this year.
During the subsequent discussion, the parties assessed the current level of cooperation between the Center and the competent authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the areas of coordination and operational activities, information and analytical work, scientific and educational activities. They noted the high level of collaboration, which is evidenced by concrete positive results of their work.
Among the promising joint projects, the executives focused on the upcoming Counter Terrorism Forum in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2027. The forum will combine the CIS Conference on Countering Terrorism and Extremism with joint counter terrorism exercises of the competent authorities of the CIS member states.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of the diplomatic and international missions expressed their interest in further strengthening cooperation and confirmed their readiness to intensify joint efforts within the CIS area.
Finally, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan made an entry in the Book of Honored Guests of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.
