The CIS ATC’s delegation led by the Center’s Head  Evgeny Sysoev took part in a special exercise of the command-and-control bodies and special force formations of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces COBALT-2025 carried out on October 3, 2025 in Alatau, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by representatives of the competent authorities of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS.

The highly organized exercise was aimed to master practical actions of combined operational combat groups, increase efficiency of units’ command-and-control and combat cohesion of all-arms forces, and improve the skills of preparing and conducting special operations to release hostages in a building and on an aircraft and eliminate illegal armed groups in a populated area and a base station.
