First Deputy Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Zhanat Saipoldayev took part in the 27th meeting of the Joint Commission of the State Parties to the Agreement on Cooperation of the CIS Member-States in Combating Illegal Migration on December 6, 2024.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth countries and CIS bodies in charge of cooperation in the security field.

The meeting reviewed the migration situation in the CIS and best practices of the CIS competent authorities in combating illegal migration.

In his statement, Zhanat Saipoldayev informed the participants about terrorist threats in the CIS and the measures taken to counter them, and proposed more active use of the CIS collective information systems to identify in migration flows the persons engaged in the operations of international terrorist organizations.
