Deputy Head of the CIS ATC Aibek Kutmanov took part in the 28th meeting of the Joint Commission of the State-Parties to the Agreement on Cooperation between the CIS Member States in Combating Illegal Migration, held on October 21, 2025, in Samarkand.
The meeting was attended by delegations of migration authorities of 7 states (the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan), as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting discussed enhancement of control over migration flows, practices of using modern technologies in countering illegal migration, recording and registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons entering the territory of the CIS countries.
In his statement, Mr. Kutmanov informed the participants about the terrorist threats in the CIS and the measures taken to counter them.
