The Head of the CIS ATC Legal Support Group took part in the meetings of the Committees of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States held in St. Petersburg on May 21, 2026.

Within the framework of the meeting of the CIS IPA Joint Commission on Harmonization of Legislation in the Field of Security and Countering New Challenges and Threats, the participants considered draft recommendations on improving national legislation, international treaties, and other legal acts in the field of deradicalization, as well as the results of work on draft recommendations on implementation of administrative and legal measures by authorized bodies in the field of anti-terrorist security in CIS member-states. They also reviewed the concept of amendments to the model law on “Countering the Legalization (Laundering) of Proceeds from Crime, the Financing of Terrorism and the Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction,” along with a number of other CIS model acts on security-related issues.

The meeting of the CIS IPA Standing Committee on Defense and Security approved the draft model law “On Countering the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Terrorist and Extremist Purposes” and the draft model law “On Operational-Search Activities” (a new version), finalized by the CIS ATC with due regard to the proposals of CIS member-states.
